About the event

Kelly Placke left Wisconsin to pursue her art career in Arizona, traveled extensively, and eventually found her way back to her family farm, Placke Organic Acres. With her parents now retired, Kelly has taken to milking 40 cows on a rotational grazing system and provides milk for Organic Valley grass-fed milk products. Learn about: benefits of a rotational grazing system for the farm and environment, grass-fed dairy, value-added products (soap), making it all work with a 2-person operation, and farm succession planning and how it worked for them.
